In July 2010, U.S. President Obama signed the Dodd-Frank Act, with Section 1502(b) specifically addressing conflict minerals. Evidence shows that trade in tantalum, tin, tungsten, and gold—collectively known as 3TG—has helped fund the Democratic Republic of Congo’s economy, yet these resources have also fueled devastating internal conflicts marked by extreme violence and inhumane practices.
In July 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama signed the "Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act," which includes Section 1502(b) on Conflict Minerals. It has been proven that the trade of certain minerals—Columbite-Tantalite (Coltan/Tantalum), Cassiterite (Tin), Wolframite (Tungsten), and Gold—known as Conflict Minerals (3TG, or "3Ts"), is directly funding the ongoing civil conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), a region notorious for its extreme violence and widespread human rights abuses.
Nanchang Cemented Carbide LLC., a large company with more than 700 employees, has always adhered to the principle of upholding and respecting human rights. To ensure our business transactions do not involve conflict minerals or metals, we require our suppliers to provide raw materials that are both legally compliant and ethically responsible. According to the information we’ve gathered, all the raw materials supplied to us originate from local mines within China. Moving forward, we remain committed to urging our suppliers to transparently disclose their sourcing channels, ensuring that the materials used in our production come exclusively from non-conflict regions.
NCC is a company with a workforce of over 700 employees. We consistently adhere to the principle of respecting and protecting human rights. To ensure our business does not become entangled in the conflict mineral issue, we have mandated that our suppliers use materials sourced in a legally responsible manner.
