Nanchang Cemented Carbide Limited Liability Company originates from 603 Plant founded in May 1966. It was renamed Nanchang Cemented Carbide Plant in 1972. It successfully reformed the form of ownership in May 2003 to officially establish Nanchang Cemented Carbide Limited Liability Company. It is a state-controlled Sino-foreign joint venture with equity controlled by China Minmetals Non-ferrous Metals Co., Ltd. (71.22%) and share-held by Japan Tungaloy Corporation (21.43%) and Jiangxi Metallurgical Group Corporation (7.35%).

 

 

The company is one of the largest bases integrating production, management and export of tungsten smelting and powder products and cemented carbide and hole machining tools in China. It has three main series products: tungsten powder products, cemented carbide pipes and rods and cemented carbide cutting tools, which are widely applied to all industries related to national economic development, such as metallurgy, machinery, automobiles, aviation, geological mines, petrochemical industry, electronics, textile and national defense military industry.

 

 

The company has annual productivity of 6,000 tons of tungsten oxide, 3,000 tons of tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder, 1,000 tons of cemented carbide rods and 10 million sets of cemented carbide hole machining cutting tools. The company has 611 employees and a registered capital of RMB 279.4 million. In 1993, it gained self-run import & export rights and the export quotas of tungsten products from Ministry of Commerce. Its products are well sold in USA, Europe, Japan, Southeast Asia and other countries and areas, and its leading products of tungsten powder, tungsten carbide, cemented carbide rods and hole machining tools enjoy quite high reputation both at home and abroad.

 

 

The company is one of 100 Key Enterprises in Jiangxi Province as well as Foreign Exchange Earning Top 10 Enterprises among Nanchang Industrial Enterprises and the Jiangxi Excellent High-tech Enterprise. The company ranks top 5 in cemented carbide industry of China in aspects of total assets, production scale, sales revenue and overall economic efficiency. It owns many famous brands at both national and provincial levels, such as Tengwangge, Jinta and Jintashan. The four products of superfine tungsten powder, superfine grain tungsten carbide powder, superfine grain cemented carbide, superfine grain cemented carbide micro-drill have been identified as “High-tech Product”; and the products of ammonium paratungstate, tungsten oxide, tungsten powder, tungsten carbide powder, cemented carbide rod, hole machining tools, etc. have been identified as “Excellent Key New Product” at both national and provincial level. The company has a professional research laboratory which has taken one project of State Torque Plan and two of Jiangxi Key Scientific Research Projects. The ammonium paratungstate product also won State Quality Gold Award, and the three new products of new tungsten powder and tungsten carbide powder, new coarse cemented carbide rod and non-magnetic carbide die have been listed in “State Key New Product Trial-production Project”. The company has quite high technical R&D ability which is always on the leading position in China and owns a provincial-level technical center and analytical test center and 26 senior professional technicians with master degree or above.
